Morpheus8 is a fractional skin treatment that stimulates collagen production of the underlying layers of the dermis. By targeting the deeper layers of the skin, tissues of the face and body can be remodelled to reveal a more radiant youthful appearance. 

The treatment involves using microneedles to cause small punctures where radiofrequency is emitted. Thish heats up the deeper layers of the skin and stimulates the collagen and elastin in the skin to tighten, lift and thicken. The results of this reaction take place up to 6 months after the treatment. 

Morpheus8 can be used on any areas that would benefit from resurfacing and subdermal renewal, particularly areas of lax skin. The most commonly treated areas include the face, jowl area, under eyes, neck, abdomen, thighs, legs, and buttocks. Stretchmarks and acne scarring are also suitable for treatment. 

This is dependent on what your initial skin concern is but usually 2-3 treatments are required. After the initial course of treatment, we recommend a maintenance session twice a year. 

Patients should moisturise the treatment area and avoid direct sun exposure. It is also recommended that patients use a broad-spectrum sunscreen every day. In addition to reducing the risk of skin cancer, sunscreens also slow the ageing process. Since patient downtime is minimal, makeup can be applied 1 to 2 days after the treatment. Patients should expect to see micro lesions a few days after treatment and slight redness depending on treatment parameters. We advise not to use strong skincare ingredients such as retinol for 3 days post-treatment.

A strong anaesthetic gel is applied and left on for one hour. This is to ensure the treatment is as comfortable as possible. The treatment itself takes 15-20 minutes and it will feel like an electric-like sensation with each pulse.
